Why It Moved

The Story Behind the Move

OKTAup 28.9 percent in Week of August 20 to August 27, 2026

Catalyst

Second quarter beat with full year revenue and earnings guidance raised

Why It Mattered

It was the largest single session move of any liquid name in the screen and it came attached to specific raised numbers rather than to a mood, in a week when most of the biggest movers had no news of their own.

Risk Note

The stock has risen 174.8 percent from its April low and trades near 44 times the company's own full year earnings guidance for a business growing revenue 11 percent. The raise itself was under one percent of the year, so a 28 percent session repriced the story rather than the numbers.

Reader Takeaway

A guidance raise and a re-rating are two different events. Measure the raise before you accept the move: under one percent added to the year does not explain 28 percent added to the price.
